Silver Tiger

Han Dynasty

Height: 7cm   Length: 11cm   Weight: 88g

Unearthed from Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province in 1957

This silver tiger is licking its left claw leisurely. Judged by the holes on its tail and belly, this figure should be an ornament attached to clothes or utensils, embodying heroism and courage. The silver tiger was left behind by the Huns who once lived in the northern part of Shaanxi Province.
